Welcome to the Bexley Centre for Music & Dance's new website.

Supported by Bexley Council and by the Government, we are an independent company, limited by guarantee, providing services in Music, Dance and Drama mainly for the residents of the London Borough of Bexley, but also for those in surrounding areas.

The services and tuition provided by us are of the highest standard. We have an excellent team of teachers with a vast pool of experience. Our peripatetic scheme in Borough primary schools gives nearly 1500 children the opportunity to learn an instrument free of charge.

The Bexley Centre for Music & Dance is based in Sidcup, in the south west of the Borough and is easily reached by public transport. Our main offices are located there together with facilities for instrumental, vocal and theory lessons, for chamber music and for medium sized instrumental groups and choirs. Our thriving Dance Department is also based at our Sidcup
site, popular weekly Drama classes take place and we work towards the production of a yearly staged musical.

On Monday, Tuesday and Friday evenings and on Saturday mornings, our larger instrumental groups meet in the excellent and spacious facilities of Townley Grammar School in Bexleyheath. Some individual tuition and chamber music classes also take place at Townley.

We also have a Saturday morning school at Southlake Primary School in Thamesmead, which is convenient for those who live in the north of the Borough.

For the very youngest, our Nursery at the Sidcup site provides first-rate nursery education for 3 - 5 year olds, who can receive some weekly tuition in Music, Dance and Drama.

Although our Music, Dance and Drama groups are mainly for those of school age, we also have some instrumental and vocal groups, which can include adults of all ages. If you are interested in joining a group, please visit the appropriate web page or call our Office on 020 8302 1456.

We give many concerts each year in public venues, which can include the prestigious Royal Festival Hall or Fairfield, Croydon and our Bexley Youth Orchestra goes abroad on tour.
